“Paid Dues“, the lead single for Esohel & Ricky Dub‘s forthcoming project ‘On Purpose With A Purpose’, features Brooklyn’s female spitterNitty Scott, whom alongside Esohel trade bars schooling rappers on the notion that paying dues is not about money, but more about the grind and work ethic which both artist hold to be most valuable.
Inspiration for ‘OPWAP’ came from the chemistry built from Esohel’s live shows that are assisted by his DJ, Ricky Dubs. After rocking shows together, the need to translate the live energy into a studio LP was inevitable. To solidify that, “On Purpose With A Purpose” was created. OPWAP brings a modern touch to the 90’s inspired hip-hop from Ricky Dub’s production accompanied by Esohel’s delivery of bravado, feel good, and conscience lyrics.
